Ahmedabad DEO issues notice to Vedant school over alleged molestation of Class 9 student

The Ahmedabad district education officer has issued a show cause notice to Nikol’s Vedant International School after a female student complained of physical harassment by a teacher.
A 13-year-old student of Class 9 was allegedly molested by a teacher at the Nikol school. The mother of the minor filed a complaint with the police over the molestation incident that occurred inside the school.
The teacher of Vedant International School reportedly promised to pass the student and allegedly molested her. He used to call her from unknown numbers and insisted that she join his tuition classes to pass the school tests.
As per the complaint, the teacher stopped the minor girl when she was walking down the stairs and allegedly molested her.
The Ahmedabad DEO has issued a notice to the private school and summoned the authorities to disclose the entire matter.
In a separate case on July 13, a complaint was filed by the parents of a minor girl alleging physical harassment by Ranchhod Shardul Rabari, who works as a primary school teacher at government school number 11.
As per the complaint, Rabari has been allegedly harassing her for the past 15 days and threatened not to disclose it to anyone to avoid “insult, defamation, and beating”.
