Raikhad govt school teacher arrested for physically harassing female students

In a disturbing case, a government school teacher in Ahmedabad’s Raikhad area allegedly harassed teenage girls during recess.
A complaint was filed by the parents of a 13-year-old girl alleging physical harassment by Ranchhod Shardul Rabari, who works as a primary school teacher at government school number 11.
According to the complaint, Rabari has been allegedly harassing her for the last 15 days and threatened not to disclose it to anyone to avoid “insult, defamation, and beating”.
As per the student, the teacher used to call her when there was no one in the classroom and physically harass her. He also allegedly called other girls and harassed them.
The events came to light when the student refused to go to school, leading her mother to ask what was wrong.
After the girl described her ordeal, the family filed a complaint against Rabari at the Gaekwad Haveli police station.
The police have arrested the accused, and a probe has been launched.
