Stone pelting at Ganesh Pandal in Kutch 

In a disturbing trend amid the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Gujarat, incidents of stone pelting have been reported from various parts of the state. Following Surat, and Bharuch, a similar incident has now taken place in Kutch.

A Ganesh pandal in Kotada Jadodar village of Nakhtrana taluka was attacked with stones on the evening of September 10.

Similar to the Surat and Bharuch incident, children were also involved here.

According to reports, the miscreants also hoisted a religious flag of another religion on a nearby temple.

In response to a string of such incidents, the police have apprehended eight individuals, including four minors, who were involved in disturbing the peace.

Those arrested include:

Maulana Gulam Hussain Jaffar, Asif Sumara Padhiyar, Sahil Ramzan Mandhara, Hanif Jusan Mandhara

The police stated, “As soon as the information about the incident was received, we reached the spot and started an investigation. Strictest action will be taken against the accused who tried to disrupt the peace.”
