The ever-increasing number of road accidents in Gujarat adds another unfortunate event to the list, as at least ten lives were lost in an accident on the Ahmedabad Vadodara express highway today.

According to media reports, the Ertiga car rammed into a trailer, killing six people in the car on the spot.

The initial reports suggest that the car was from Ahmedabad with a number plate GJ-27-EC-2578, and was going from Vadodara to Ahmedabad.

The District Collector has left for the spot while two 108 and police teams reached the spot. According to the 108 team, eight people died on the spot, and three were shifted to the hospital for treatment.

According to reports, two of the people undergoing treatment at the hospital lost their lives, too, taking the death toll to 10. 

The police reached the spot and conducted further investigation.
