Accident claims six lives at Jambusar-Amod road in Gujarat

Six persons were killed in a tragic accident on the Jambusar-Amod road in Bharuch, Gujarat on Monday night.

As per the information, an Eeco car with 10 passengers onboard rammed into a stationary truck on the Jambusar-Amod road. Six people were killed on the spot.

The victims have been identified as Jaydev Gohil (23), Saraswati Gohil (21), Hansa Jadav (35), Sandhya Jadav (11), Vivek Gohil (16), and Kirti Gohil (6). Four others were injured and have been treated at a hospital in Jambusar.

An FIR has been filed against the truck’s driver under sections for public obstruction, although the driver remains unidentified and at large.

Earlier on November 15, three members of a family were killed in an accident, after the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The accident occurred near Hansot on the Ankleshwar-Surat state highway (SH 6).

Two family members had died by the impact, while a third succumbed to injuries after being transported to Bharuch Civil Hospital.
