A 14-year-old girl from a migrant family originally from Madhya Pradesh, currently living in Rajkot for labour work, was allegedly raped repeatedly by her 37-year-old relative uncle over the past five months. The crime was exposed after the minor complained of severe stomach pain and was taken to hospital.

According to reports, the girl’s father rushed her to a hospital after she experienced unbearable abdominal pain. During a medical examination, doctors found some suspicious pills with the girl. After examining them, the doctors informed the father that the pills were contraceptive tablets.

Shocked by the revelation, the father questioned his daughter with reassurance. The minor then broke down and revealed that her 37-year-old uncle, who lived with them, had been sexually assaulting her for the past five months whenever her father went out for work. To avoid getting caught, the accused allegedly forced the girl to consume contraceptive pills and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the abuse to anyone.

Police investigation revealed that the accused’s wife had gone to her parental home with their children after a dispute. Taking advantage of her absence, the accused allegedly began sexually assaulting his niece. The first incident reportedly occurred about five months ago when the girl’s father had gone out for labour work.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s father, Rajkot B-Division Police have arrested the accused. A case has been registered against him relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
