Torrential rains have caused major disruptions in Gujarat leading to  widespread infrastructural and power challenges. The relentless downpour has resulted in the closure of 357 roads across the state, including 21 state highways and two national highways. This has severely impacted transportation and connectivity, particularly in the Kutch and Chhota Udepur districts.

The closures include 29 other roads, 305 panchayat roads, and two national highways, affecting Kutch and Chhota Udepur districts. State highways in Kutch, Rajkot-Surendranagar, Kheda, and several other districts are also blocked.

As of September 2, the Gujarat State Transport (ST) has cancelled 71 trips on 30 routes, resulting in a loss of ₹1.84 lakh, with Kutch facing the highest loss of ₹82,537.

In terms of power restoration, 12,785 out of 12,795 villages, 18,219 out of 18,797 feeders, 9,826 out of 21,685 transformers, and 1,524 out of 2,207 transformer centres have been reconnected based on complaints.
