‘Mirzapur’ to hit big screen in 2026

Actor-producer Farhan Akhtar on Monday announced the release of “Mirzapur: The Film”, based on the OTT series ‘Mirzapur’, in theaters.
Akhtar took to social media to share the news, stating that “Mirzapur” will be hitting theaters soon. In his caption, he wrote, "Ab Bhaukal bhi bada hoga, aur parda bhi," with the hashtag #MirzapurTheFilm.
In the video posted by Farhan Akhtar, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu can be seen.
Notably, the death of Divyenndu’s character, Munna bhaiya, was shown in Season 2. However, in the video, Munna bhaiya is shown alive, quoting, “Bole the na hum Amar hai” (I told you I am immortal).
Additionally, Ali Fazal’s character, Guddu Bhaiya, is seen saying, “Mirzapur aapke paas nahi, aapko Mirzapur ke pass aana padega” (Mirzapur is not coming to you; you will have to come to Mirzapur), indicating that audiences will have to go to theaters to watch the film.
The film is set to be released in 2026.
The teaser for the film has already shaken the internet, with fans going crazy on social media.
Some fans commented, “2024 finally brings some good news.” One user also noted, “Seems like Marvel content; TV shows and movies are linked together in the Marvel universe. Excited to see what new they bring us!”
