Brooklyn Beckham appears to have removed one of his most meaningful tattoos dedicated to his father, David Beckham, adding fuel to ongoing speculation about tensions within the famous family. The word ‘Dad,’ which was previously inked on his right arm as part of an anchor design, has reportedly been erased and replaced with three small, unremarkable symbols.

The change was noticed while Brooklyn was spending time in Los Angeles with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and comes shortly after he publicly acknowledged that he is no longer in contact with his parents. Many fans view the tattoo alteration as a symbolic move rather than a simple aesthetic choice, given the timing.

According to sources quoted by The Sun, Brooklyn underwent laser treatment specifically to remove the lettering. One source claimed the decision was intentional, saying he no longer wanted the tribute on his body.

Interestingly, another inscription beneath the anchor ‘Love You Bust,’ a reference to the nickname ‘Buster’ shared between Brooklyn and David remains intact. This has led some to believe the removal was a deliberate and thoughtful decision rather than an emotional impulse.

The tattoo change follows Brooklyn’s recent public statement, posted on January 19, in which he accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of controlling the public narrative around his life. In the post, he said he had stayed quiet for years but felt forced to speak out due to continued media briefings.

He also made it clear that reconciliation is not currently on the table, stating that he is finally asserting his independence and refusing to be controlled.
