Andy Byron Kristin Cabot placed on leave Astronomer names interim CEO launches probe

The latest internet scandal’s main characters, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and their HR head, Kristin Cabot, are reportedly negotiating a resignation. 

The company and the two people associated with it became an internet sensation overnight after Cabot and Byron were seen swaying with arms around each other together, during Thursday’s Coldplay concert in Boston.

The company announced an interim CEO on Saturday. 

In a statement, Astronomer firm’s X handle, read “Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEO, given Andy Byron has been placed on leave.”

“We will share more details as appropriate in the coming days,” they added.

In a separate post on X, the company said, “Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.”

Company issues a probe

The statement of the Astronomer also added that the Board of Directors has initiated a “formal investigation into this matter”. 

“We will have additional details to share very shortly,” the statement added.

Clarifying about other employees present at the event, the firm said, “Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event, and no other employees were in the video.” 

The duo was all over the internet in parody accounts, memes, and fake company statements after Thursday.
