In a dramatic twist, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk offered $97.4 billion to take control of OpenAI, the AI powerhouse behind ChatGPT.

Altman swiftly rejected Musk’s offer, firing back with a counterproposal to buy X (formerly Twitter), which Musk acquired for $44 billion in 2022. “No thank you, but we will buy Twitter for $9.74 billion if you want,” Altman shared on social media.

Musk quickly retaliated, calling Altman a ‘swindler’ and ‘Scam Altman’, and sharing a resurfaced video where a US senator asks Altman about his earnings. Altman’s response, ‘no’, sparked renewed speculation about his financial dealings.

As the Musk-Altman saga unfolds, it underscores a growing rivalry between two of Silicon Valley’s most influential figures, each vying for dominance in the AI and tech landscape.

ChatGPT, launched in November 2022, became a game-changer in the tech industry. Its advanced conversational AI capabilities captivated millions of users worldwide, transforming industries and setting new benchmarks for AI-powered interactions.
