According to police, complainant Darshit Shah had allegedly invested ₹3 crore in the Siddheshwar Prime Plus and Siddheshwar Paradise projects on Harni-Sama Link Road after being promised a monthly return of 2%.
Police said Pansuriya, along with his brothers and son, allegedly stopped making the promised payments after some time and did not return the principal amount.
Following the complaint, two other investors also allegedly approached the police, claiming losses of ₹52 lakh and ₹25 lakh in similar transactions.
Police Arrest Pansuriya Brothers
Harni police subsequently registered a case against Pansuriya family namely: Suresh, Manish, Kishore, Praveen and Ravi, and began searching for the accused.
According to police, Suresh Pansuriya had sought refuge through legal proceedings while attempting to avoid arrest. His bail was not granted by a Vadodara court, while the Gujarat High Court also cancelled his bail recently.
Police finally arrested Suresh Bhadabhai Pansuriya and Manish Bhadabhai Pansuriya, residents of Vemali in Vadodara, late on Wednesday night.
More Fraud Cases Against Pansuriya Brothers
Police said three other complaints, including allegations of fraud, had previously been registered against the Pansuriya brothers at Bapod police station in Vadodara.
A separate land-grabbing case has also been registered against them in Amreli.
Police are collecting details of the earlier cases and investigating whether more people were allegedly cheated through similar transactions.
