Travelling Between Ahmedabad and Mumbai? These Trains Will be Affected For 2 Days

Ahmedabad-bound trains, including Vande Bharat Express, Karnavati Express and Tejas Express, will be affected for two days after Western Railway imposed a block at Kelwe Road station in Mumbai Division. The pre-non interlocking and non-interlocking block on July 14 and 15 has been undertaken for commissioning of the electronic interlocking and Kavach systems under the Virar-Dahanu Road fourth-line project.

According to railway officials, train operations on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route will be impacted due to the infrastructure work being carried out at Kelwe Road station as part of the Virar-Dahanu Road fourth-line project.

Several services to be affected

The block has been imposed to facilitate the commissioning of the electronic interlocking and Kavach systems, which are part of Western Railway’s ongoing efforts to strengthen rail infrastructure and improve safety on the busy Ahmedabad-Mumbai corridor.
