Massive Neem Tree Falls at AMC Parking Lot in Lal Darwaja, Damages 8–9 Cars in Ahmedabad

A large neem tree collapsed at the Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) Rupali parking lot in Lal Darwaja on Wednesday, damaging around eight to nine parked cars and causing concern among people in the area.

The old tree reportedly fell suddenly without warning, crashing onto several four-wheelers parked underneath it. The collapse caused heavy damage to multiple vehicles, leaving owners facing significant financial losses.

Several parked vehicles damaged

After the incident, locals complained that a large neem tree collapsed at the AMC's Rupali parking lot in Lal Darwaja on Wednesday, damaging around eight to nine parked cars underneath and causing concern among people in the area.

The collapse caused heavy damage to multiple vehicles, leaving owners facing significant financial losses.


Fire brigade launches clearance operation

After the incident, locals alerted the authorities. A fire brigade team, along with senior AMC officials, reached the spot and began clearing operations.

Fire personnel are using cutters and other equipment to remove the fallen branches and clear the debris. Teams are also working to safely retrieve the damaged vehicles trapped beneath the tree.

Authorities verify casualty reports

Officials are verifying whether anyone was present inside the parked vehicles at the time of the collapse. No injuries or casualties have been officially reported so far.

AMC has stated that removing the debris and restoring the parking area will take some time. Clearance work remains underway.
