Ahmedabad Man Fights Off Robbery Bid by 4 Assailants, Loses Gold Chain

A gas agency employee sustained serious injuries after resisting an attempted robbery by four unidentified men near the Swaminarayan Temple at Vanch village on Thursday. While the accused failed to snatch the cash bag he was carrying, they allegedly fled with his gold chain after assaulting him.

Four assailants intercept employee

According to police, the employee was intercepted by four men who arrived on a motorcycle and a scooter near the Swaminarayan Temple. The assailants allegedly surrounded him and attempted to rob him of the bag containing cash.

Despite being outnumbered, the victim put up a strong resistance and prevented the accused from fleeing with the cash.

Gold chain snatched during assault

During the scuffle, the attackers allegedly assaulted the employee and snatched his gold chain before escaping from the spot.

The victim sustained multiple injuries and was left bleeding on the road. Local residents rushed to his rescue after hearing his cries for help, forcing the assailants to flee.

Victim undergoing treatment at LG Hospital

The injured employee was shifted to LG Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Police said his condition is serious but stable.

Police launch manhunt

Following the incident, the Vivekanand Nagar Police launched a manhunt for the four unidentified accused. Multiple police teams have been deployed, and road blockades has been set up at strategic locations to trace and arrest the suspects.

Police officials also reached LG Hospital to record the victim's statement and initiate legal proceedings. An FIR is being registered, and further investigation is underway.
