Alleged attack near temple
At around 10.30 pm, while passing through a lane near the Kal Bhairav Temple, the sisters were allegedly stopped by Puniben Premabhai Bhati.
According to the complaint, Puniben began arguing with them before allegedly abusing and assaulting the sisters.
Brother injured while intervening
Gangaben's younger brother, Govindbhai Savabhai Bhati (45), reached the spot after noticing the altercation and attempted to intervene.
Police said Kamleshbhai Premabhai Bhati allegedly attacked Gangaben with a knife, causing two stab injuries to her left wrist.
The complaint further alleged that:
- Kishanbhai Premabhai Bhati attacked Govindbhai with an iron rod.
- Dyabhai Premabhai Bhati assaulted him with a wooden stick.
Govindbhai sustained injuries during the assault.
