AMC announces new chairman and deputy chairman for transport, health, and other administrative committees

The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has officially announced the appointment of new chairmen and deputy chairman across several of its key administrative committees, restructuring leadership roles to boost civic governance.

According to the details shared by AMC Parag Naik from the Khokhra ward has been appointed as the chairman of the Transport Committee. In a bid to streamline infrastructural developments, Dharamsinh Desai (Bodakdev) will head the Water Supply and Sewerage Committee as chairman, supported by Vipul Sevak (Maninagar) as deputy chairman.

Meanwhile, the vital Roads and Building Committee will be led by chairman Jainik Vakil (Paldi) and deputy chairman Pravin Patel (Ghatlodia).

The AMC has also placed significant emphasis on Public Health and Urban Planning. Deepak Panchal from Nikol has been named chairman of the Health and Solid Waste Management Committee, with Rakesh Patel (Bhaipura) taking the charge as deputy chairman.

The Hospital Committee will be chaired by medical professional Dr. Chandani Patel (Lambha), alongside deputy chairman Rajendra Jani (Odhav).

Additionally, Bhagyesh Patel (Jodhpur) and Divya Khakhi (Naroda) have been appointed as chairman and deputy Chairman of the Town Planning and Estate Management Committee, respectively.

Other prominent appointments include Darshan Shah heading the Housing Improvement Committee, Mukesh Patel leading the Revenue Committee, and Vipul Patel taking charge of the Legal Committee. Dimple Varindani has been designated to chair the Women and Child Development Welfare Committee. These appointments are expected to accelerate civic projects across Ahmedabad's various wards.
