In another hit and run case emerging from Gujarat, three people lost their lives while five were left injured in a gruesome accident today of on-foot pilgrims headed for Khodiyar Mataji temple in Patan’s Varana.

The accident took place on the Harij-Chanasma highway.

Late in the night, a car rammed into the family near Dantarvada village, while they were enroute to the temple.

The driver, however, absconded from the scene.

Five injured from the family were shifted to a nearby hospital.

Police were also informed over this incident, and a probe has been launched.

The family was from Ambala village of Becharaji.
