Nine Arrested In Surendranagar Case
Police have arrested nine people in connection with the case, including the woman’s husband, identified as Ramesh Sarvaiya.
The other arrested accused have been identified as Jayanti Sarvaiya, Bharat Sarvaiya, Jitu Sarvaiya, Pappu Parmar, Kala Sarvaiya, Gitaben Sarvaiya and Lilaben Sarvaiya.
The arrested group comprises seven men and two women.
The Surendranagar district police chief said no person involved in such inhuman acts carried out under the pretext of purification or customary practices would be spared. Police are also investigating the involvement of other accused in the case.
