Investigators alleged that the illicit funds were invested in movable and immovable properties in the names of the accused, his family members and close associates. The agency said assets worth ₹1,34,78,827 could not be accounted for through any legitimate source of income.
Based on its findings, the ACB has registered a case against Jhala under various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation is underway.
