Surat-Kadodara Road Hit By Creek Flooding, One-Km Stretch Near Saroli Closed For Second Day

The impact of creek flooding continued on the Surat-Kadodara road on Sunday, with a one-kilometre stretch on one side of the carriageway near Saroli remaining closed for the second consecutive day as floodwater continued to cover the road.

Although the intensity of rainfall in Surat has reduced, light rain continued in the city, while water from the overflowing creek had not receded from the key route connecting Surat with Kadodara.

Traffic Diverted As Road Remains Submerged

With the affected stretch closed, motorists travelling to and from Surat have been forced to take longer routes, causing delays and adding to traffic pressure on alternative roads.

Local residents have also faced difficulties travelling through the area as the flooding continues to affect movement.

Authorities have placed barricades along the affected section and stopped traffic as a precautionary measure. Commuters have been advised to exercise caution while travelling through the area.

The road will be reopened once the creek water recedes completely and the stretch is considered safe for traffic.
