Vadodara’s young karate stars shine at national championship
Vadodara has a reason to celebrate as four talented karate players from the city won gold medals at the 4th All India Inter Zonal Karate Championship 2025, held at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi on December 1 and 2.
This prestigious national-level tournament was organized by the Karate India Organization (KIO) and featured the best karate players from across the country. Only those athletes who had won gold and silver medals at the zonal level from the North, South, East, West and North East zones were selected to compete, making the championship highly competitive.
Representing Gujarat through the Karate Do Federation of Gujarat (KDF), the Vadodara players delivered outstanding performances against top fighters from other states. Their skill, discipline, and determination helped them stand out on the national stage.
The gold medal winners from Vadodara are:
Partharajsinh Jadeja (10 years) – Gold medal in the 40 kg category
Advika Chandra (13 years) – Gold medal in the 45 kg category
Yashvi Patel (13 years) – Gold medal in the 60 kg category
Kartik Huyal – Gold medal in the senior category
Their success has brought pride not only to Vadodara but also to the entire state of Gujarat. Coaches, parents, and members of the karate community have congratulated the players and wished them a bright future.
There is a hope that these young champions will continue to grow and one day represent India at international platforms such as the Commonwealth Games and even the Olympics, bringing glory to the name of the state and the country on the world stage.
