Tilak Varma and Vaibhav Suryavanshi Clash in Heated Sledging Row During Duleep Trophy Final

Umpires were forced to step in and defuse a tense on-field confrontation between South Zone captain Tilak Varma and East Zone vice-captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi during the Duleep Trophy final at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The altercations erupted after an exchange of sledging between the two players, both of whom are part of the Indian T20 team.

The atmosphere on the field turned extremely heated when Varma, during a stage of the match, made a sledging remark aimed at the 16-year-old Suryavanshi.

"Kya yaar, ye vice captain…," Varma told Suryavanshi.

Suryavanshi refused to stay silent and issued a swift verbal retaliation. The exchange quickly escalated as both players moved close to each other, sparking a fierce argument that threatened to boil over.

Umpires Intervene to Restore Order

Seeing the situation worsen, the on-field umpires immediately intervened to separate Varma and Suryavanshi, calming the players down before play could resume.
