Tennis icon Venus Williams marries actor Andrea Preti

Tennis icon Venus Williams has married Italian actor and model Andrea Preti, nearly a year and a half after the couple made their relationship public. As per reports, the wedding ceremony was held over the weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, following a celebration in Italy in September.

Engagement speculation first surfaced earlier this year when Venus was spotted wearing a ring during a training session in Rome. The couple were also seen together during practice, sparking widespread discussion. Venus later confirmed her engagement several months afterwards, leading up to the recent wedding celebrations.

Venus Williams is one of the most successful and influential tennis players in history. Born on June 17, 1980, in Lynwood, California, she rose to prominence in the late 1990s and went on to redefine women’s tennis with her powerful style of play.

Venus is a seven-time Grand Slam singles champion, having won five Wimbledon titles and two US Open titles. She has also claimed 14 Grand Slam doubles titles, alongside her sister Serena Williams, and two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles. In addition, Venus has won four Olympic gold medals, including one in singles and three in doubles.
