Ten Years on the Track: Gujarat Speed Skater Parth Shah Honoured With Jaydeepsinhji Junior Award

Speed skater Parth Suragbhai Shah has been conferred with Gujarat's prestigious Jaydeepsinhji Junior Award in recognition of his multi-medal haul at state and national sporting events over the past decade.

Decade-Long Journey From Six-Year-Old Novice to National Contender

Instituted by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department of the Government of Gujarat, the Jaydeepsinhji Junior Award recognises exceptional young sporting talent across the state. The honour carries a cash prize of ₹10,000 for junior recipients.

Parth's competitive career began in 2016 when he first stepped onto the rink at six years old. Over the last ten years, he has represented Gujarat at the National Championships on five separate occasions, bagging multiple state-level medals along the way. His consistent performances also secured him the Centre of Excellence (COE) scholarship twice.

Coaching and World-Class Infrastructure Drive Breakthrough

For the last three years, Parth has honed his technique at the Adani Sportsline Academy, which provided him with specialized coaching staff and advanced training facilities to prepare for national-level competition.

"Receiving the Jaydeepsinhji Junior Award means a lot to me," Parth said following the presentation. "It feels great to see hard work recognised at this level. The academy played a big role in my journey, helping me improve my technique and giving me the confidence to keep pushing."

Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer at Adani Sportsline, praised the skater's discipline, stating that the state recognition marks a crucial milestone in his long-term athletic growth as he prepares for upcoming national events.
