T20 World Cup 2026 likely from Feb 7 to Mar 8: Report

The 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup is likely to be played between February 7 and March 8, with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting the event, according to an ESPNcricinfo report.
The tournament will feature 20 teams competing across multiple venues, with at least five stadiums in India and two in Sri Lanka expected to host the matches, as per the report.
The final is reportedly set to take place either in Ahmedabad or Colombo, depending on whether Pakistan makes it to the title clash.
Given the strained political relations between the two neighbouring nations, all of Pakistan’s matches will take place in Sri Lanka.
Although the International Cricket Council (ICC) has not yet released the official schedule, it has identified the window and communicated the tentative dates to all participating boards. The detailed fixture list, along with the complete list of venues, is expected to be announced in the coming months.
Before the T20 World Cup 2026, India will play Asia Cup 2025, which commenced today in UAE. India will play their first clash on Wednesday, against UAE. The much awaited India Pakistan clash in Asia Cup will take place on September 14. The Indian cricket team’s T20 side will be captained by Suryakumar Yadav, with Test captain Shubman Gill as his deputy.
