Riyan Parag captured vaping inside dressing room during PBKS vs RR, sparks row

Riyan Parag has landed in controversy after he was seen vaping inside the dressing room during a recent IPL match. While Rajasthan Royals managed to defeat Punjab Kings and end their winning streak, the focus quickly shifted away from the match to this incident.
During the 16th over of the chase, live cameras caught Parag using a vape in the dressing room. The clip spread very fast on social media, and people started talking more about this moment than the team’s performance. What should have been a celebration turned into a debate online.
Smoking is not allowed inside dressing rooms or stadium, except in special zones. Also, in India, e-cigarettes and vapes are banned under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019. According to this law, making, selling, buying, or using such products can lead to strict punishment, including fines and even jail time.
This is not the first time Rajasthan Royals have faced trouble this season. Earlier, team manager Romi Bhinder was also in the news for breaking rules. He was seen using a mobile phone in the dugout during a match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which is against IPL protocols.
The BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit, led by Sharad Kumar, took action in that case. Bhinder was fined ₹1 lakh and given a warning after his explanation was not fully accepted.
Now, with Parag’s incident, Rajasthan Royals once again find themselves under the spotlight, raising questions about discipline and following rules within the team.
