Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah’s ancestral home attacked with gunfire, no injuries reported

Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah’s ancestral residence in the Lower Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was reportedly targeted by unidentified gunmen, who fired several shots at the main gate late Monday night. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, according to local media reports.
As per reports, the attack is currently under investigation by local authorities. Despite the incident, Naseem chose to remain with the national team for the first ODI against Sri Lanka, scheduled in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
Naseem and most of his immediate family now live in Islamabad, some of his relatives continue to reside at the family’s ancestral home in Lower Dir. After speaking to his family, the pacer was reportedly assured that the matter was under control and advised to focus on his ongoing cricket commitments.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, particularly its northern districts, has witnessed recurring incidents of violence due to both tribal disputes and militant activity, though the motive behind this particular shooting remains unclear.
