The football star, Neymar, has come under scrutiny following an alleged altercation with teammate Robinho Jr. during a training session at Santos FC in Brazil, prompting the club to launch an internal investigation, as per reports.

The incident is reported to have taken place during training on Sunday, when tensions escalated after an on-field exchange between the two players. While Neymar has not made any public comment, the matter has drawn attention after formal complaints were lodged.

As per reports, the situation began after Robinho Jr. dribbled past Neymar during a drill, which allegedly led to a reaction from the senior player. Neymar is allegedly accused of tripping the 18-year-old, triggering a heated confrontation that required teammates to intervene.

Robinho Jr. has alleged that Neymar used offensive language during the exchange and struck him, leaving the youngster distressed. Sources indicated that Neymar later attempted to defuse the situation by reaching out to the player and his family with an apology, though the issue remains unresolved.

Santos FC confirmed that its legal department has initiated an inquiry into the events of May 3 and said appropriate action would be taken based on the findings.

Representatives of Robinho Jr. have also issued an extrajudicial notice to the club, seeking action and raising concerns over player welfare. Reports suggest the player could consider terminating his contract if the matter is not addressed satisfactorily.

Despite the controversy, Neymar is reportedly expected to feature in Santos’ upcoming Copa Sudamericana fixture against Deportivo Recoleta, as the club balances preparations for the match with the ongoing investigation.
