After 12 years, the World Cup will be scheduled in India once again, with the cricketing fraternity beaming with excitement all over the world. Today, ICC has released the schedule for the men’s One Day World Cup 2023, to be held in India, and the fixtures for the men’s ODI cricket World Cup are as follows.

Knock-out stages to begin from semifinals

The first semifinal will be played on November 15 in Mumbai. The second semifinal will be played a day later in Kolkata. The final match of World Cup 2023 will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A total of 10 countries will participate in this World Cup

A total of 10 teams will participate in this World Cup. Eight teams have already qualified for the tournament. Ten teams are currently competing for the remaining two places with qualifier rounds in Zimbabwe. The remaining two teams to participate in the World Cup will also be decided on July 9.

The two-time world cup winner West Indies team is on the verge of exiting this World Cup. 

Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe have the highest chances of playing in the main round. Now only 100 days are left for the start of the World Cup.

The World Cup trophy was unveiled on June 26

June 26, the ICC Men's ODI World Cup trophy was unveiled in space. The trophy was launched into space at an altitude of 1,20,000 feet above the ground. Later, the trophy was brought down at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah shared a video of this on social media.
