A heated moment between Virat Kohli and Travis Head grabbed attention after Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026 on Friday, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

The tension started during RCB’s difficult chase of a massive 256-run target. While batting, Kohli and Head were seen exchanging words on the field. Kohli reacted sharply to something Head said and challenged him by saying, “Okay, come down and bowl some deliveries.”

Soon after, Kohli lost his wicket for 15 runs. Head then reportedly responded by saying, “Mate, you got out before I even came on to bowl,” a comment that appeared to frustrate the RCB star even more. The situation became more noticeable after the match during the players’ handshake line.

Head tried to shake hands with Kohli, but Kohli walked past him without reacting. However, Kohli did greet other SRH players, including captain Pat Cummins, making the moment stand out even more among fans.

SRH dominated the match after posting a massive 255/4. Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen starred with explosive knocks to put RCB under pressure from the start.

RCB found it difficult to keep up with the huge target, but Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya helped the team reach the important qualification mark despite the defeat.

Even after the 55-run loss, RCB finished at the top of the points table and secured a top-two spot in the tournament.
