India’s Pranav Venkatesh secures first position in World Junior Chess Championship

Pranav Venkatesh from India has secured the first position in the World Junior Chess Championship in the under-20 category held in Montenegro. Remaining undefeated with seven wins and four draws, Venkatesh has marked a remarkable achievement for Indian chess.
With this victory, Pranav Venkatesh becomes the second Indian junior to win the World Junior Chess Championship after Gukesh D, who won it earlier, further adding glory to India's chess legacy.
Legendary Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand also took to his social media handle on X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate Pranav Venkatesh on his extraordinary achievement.
In his post, Anand wrote –
