ICC rankings: Shubman Gill Reclaims No. 1 ODI Spot, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Jumps 230 Places In T20Is

India captain Shubman Gill has reclaimed the No. 1 position in the ICC Men’s ODI batting rankings, while 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has made a massive leap of 230 places in the T20I rankings following his impressive performance against Zimbabwe. Ishan Kishan, meanwhile, remains the world’s No. 1 T20I batter with a career-best 910 rating points.

Shubman Gill back as No. 1 ODI batter

Gill returned to the top of the ODI batting rankings with 801 rating points, overtaking New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, who is second with 794 points.

Virat Kohli remains third with 767 points, while Rohit Sharma is fourth with 758, placing three Indian batters in the top four.

In the ODI bowling rankings, Namibia spinner Bernard Scholtz climbed five places to seventh.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi jumps 230 places

Sooryavanshi made one of the biggest moves in the latest rankings, jumping 230 places to 48th in the T20I batting rankings with 536 rating points.

The 15-year-old scored 151 runs at an average of 50.33 during the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, earning his first Player of the Series award.

He was also named Player of the Match after scoring 81 in the third T20I, becoming the youngest cricketer to win both honours.

Ishan Kishan stays No. 1 with 910 points

India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan retained the No. 1 position in the T20I batting rankings with 910 rating points, his career-best. He scored 145 runs during the Zimbabwe series.

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan moved up to second, while India’s Abhishek Sharma slipped one place to third after a disappointing series.

Tilak Varma climbed two places to sixth, while India captain Shreyas Iyer jumped seven spots to 24th.

In the T20I bowling rankings, Ravi Bishnoi climbed 31 places to 41st after picking up three wickets in the series against Zimbabwe.
