Gujarat gymnast Phalak Vasava finishes fifth at Asian Trampoline Championship

Young gymnast Phalak Vasava from Rajpipla in Gujarat's Narmada district has brought laurels to the state and the country by securing fifth place at the Trampoline Gymnastics Asian Championship held in Hong Kong.

The championship was conducted on May 23-24, where Phalak competed in the Junior Age Group Individual Women's category.

The promising gymnast delivered an impressive performance against some of Asia's top young athletes to finish fifth in the continental competition.

Phalak has now set her sights on representing India on a bigger stage and aims to win a medal at the 2030 Commonwealth Games, which are scheduled to be hosted by India.

Speaking about her performance, Phalak credited her success to the unwavering support of her parents and the guidance of her coach and mentors.
