Babar Azam loses his cool upon reporter’s question comparing him with Kohli

During the press conference after the PSL match, Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam lost his cool after a reporter asked him a question comparing him with Indian ace batter Virat Kohli.
Azam reportedly lost his cool when asked why he would not finish the games like Kohli does.
"Finish these things. Keep these things to yourself. End the comparison and move on. It's your misconception that I have not finished matches," said Azam in the response, visibly upset with the question.
Azam is the captain of Peshawar Zalmi franchise of PSL. On April 8, his team faced Hyderabad Kingsmen where he emerged as the top run-scorer for his team by scoring 43 runs in 37 balls in the chase of 146 runs, getting out in the 15th over.
Though his team won the match, Azam not staying till the end led to the question by the reporter.
Babar has been compared to Kohli because of his consistent performance for Pakistan which made people start calling him ‘king’ in his country. This comparison gained real weight in 2021 when Babar ended Kohli’s 1,258 day reign as the No1 ODI batter in ICC ranking and in 2023, he became the fastest to score 5,000 runs in 97 innings faster than Kohli.
In PSL 2026, he has played two matches, scoring a total 82 runs only including 10 fours and one six.
