Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, received racist and critical comments on social media after posting a congratulatory message following the Super Bowl win.

On Monday, Nadella wrote on X: “Congrats to our hometown Super Bowl champs. So thrilled for our city and the 12s!”

Soon after, several users questioned his reference to “hometown” and made remarks about his Indian origin. Some of the responses included: “Ur hometown is Hyderabad bruh…” and “Doesn't look like your hometown, Hyderabad(India)”.

Others also targeted Microsoft’s layoffs, with one user commenting, “Why not reward Seattle and hire back the 16,000 employees you laid off?”

Some replies took a more hostile tone. One user wrote, “But your hometown is somewhere in india, and your people are indians

That is why you discriminate American workers”

Another user posted, “Deport ENDIANS 😋”.

The comments triggered backlash online, with many pointing out the racist nature of the responses directed at the tech executive.
