Meta to introduce one account for all its apps and devices
A new proposed system by Meta, the parent company to social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, will allow users to login with one password across platforms. As per reports, Meta account system that will allow users to use one account and one password for all its apps and devices. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Meta’s AI-powered devices.
Right now, users need different login details for different Meta services, which can be confusing. Reportedly, the new system aims to make things easier by bringing everything under one login. With the Meta account system, users can also use passkeys for better security. Passkeys allow login using fingerprint, face recognition, or a device PIN instead of a password. Users will also get features like multi factor is any unusual login activity.
As per reports, Meta said that users will be able to manage important settings like password, email, and security options in one place. This means users will not have to update these settings separately for each app. Therefore, we may have to wait a couple of months for the feature to be widely available and see how it benefits users across the Meta ecosystem.
