‘Instagram Plus’ plan launched in India, know its price and features

Meta has launched its new paid subscription plan 'Instagram Plus' in India, priced at ₹299 per month in India. Under this paid plan, users will get several new and advanced features, including better control over stories, secret features for viewing stories, new fonts and pinning profile posts.

With the help of the Instagram Plus plan, users will now be able to view other people's stories secretly without their knowledge. The company has launched new subscription plans for its popular apps Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp a few days ago.

Under this plan, users will get additional features, better insights and many exclusive features. However, the standard version of Instagram will continue to work for free as before, but users who want to use extra and advanced features will have to pay a charge of ₹299 per month.

Many special features are linked to Stories under Instagram Plus:

Secret story preview: Under this plan, users will be able to easily see a secret preview of any person's story and their name will not appear in the viewer list.

Story rewatch count: Subscribers will be able to see how many people have viewed their story again (a second time).

48-hour timeline: In Instagram Plus, the story duration is increased from 24 hours to 48 hours.

Weekly story spotlight: Users will be able to spotlight one of their stories every week for extra visibility.

Story viewer search: Users will be able to search for the name of any specific person by going to the list of people who have viewed the story.

Unlimited story audience lists: Just like Close Friends, users will be able to create their own custom audience lists.

Special emoji and fonts

Instagram Plus users will get animated 'Super Heart Reactions', in which colorful animated hearts will appear on the screen during a chat or interaction. Along with this, subscribers will get access to custom app icons and special fonts for bios designed specifically for Instagram and creators.

6 posts can be pinned

Another special feature under this plan is 'Profile Pins'. With the help of this feature, users will be able to pin a maximum of 6 posts on their profile and keep their most important or favorite posts at the top of the profile. Till now, only 3 posts were allowed to be pinned in the standard version.

Meta changes revenue strategy

Meta has launched this paid plan to reduce its reliance on ads alone, making a major change in its revenue strategy. This will give the company new earning options. The company says that more new features will be added for Plus subscribers in the coming days.
