Rajkot Civil Hospital Junior Doctors Strike After Female Doctor Allegedly Slapped By Senior

Junior doctors at Rajkot Civil Hospital went on strike after a senior male doctor allegedly abused and slapped junior doctor Dr Trisha Singada during an argument, prompting demands for strict action against the doctor responsible.

Argument between doctors turns serious

According to the allegations, an argument broke out between Dr Trisha Singada and senior doctor Dr Ashwin Ramani at the hospital. During the altercation, Dr Ramani allegedly abused and slapped the junior doctor.

Dr Singada’s mobile phone also reportedly fell to the ground during the incident.

Junior doctors demand strict action

Following the alleged incident, junior doctors at Rajkot Civil Hospital launched a strike in protest and demanded strict action against the person responsible.

The protest has also affected hospital services, causing inconvenience to patients seeking treatment at the civil hospital.

Hospital assures action after inquiry

Rajkot Civil Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Monali Makadia said action would be taken after the matter is investigated.

“After the investigation, legal action will be taken against whichever doctor is found responsible,” Dr Makadia said.
