Rapper Shubh’s ‘Still Rollin India Tour’ cancelled
Ticket booking application BookMyShow took to Twitter, formerly called X, to announce that the Punjab-born, Brampton, Canada-based 26-year-old rapper’s multi-city ‘Still Rollin India Tour’ has been cancelled. BookMyShow also promised a complete refund of the tickets within 7-10 days.
The tweet read: “Still Rollin Tour for India stands cancelled. To that end, BookMyShow has initiated a complete refund of the ticket amount for all consumers who had purchased tickets for the show.”
“The refund will be reflected within 7-10 working days in the customer's source account of the original transaction.”
Today, the hashtag #UninstallBookMyShow was trending on X, for hosting the Shubh’s event in India.
Punjabi-Canadian rapper Shubh finds himself in the thick of situation as Indo-Canada relations sour.
The Canadian artist Shubhneet Singh, popularly known as Shubh, is of Indian descent and has released multiple singles like ‘We Rollin’, ‘Cheques’, and ‘Elevated’ in the past couple of years, which have garnered significant popularity.
However, the 24-year-old artist is drawing flak across social media and has been losing significant sponsorships, as well as his clout amongst top-grade celebs, as speculations over his affiliations with Sikh extremism take ‘centre stage’.
Shubh loses boAt sponsorship for upcoming Mumbai tour
India’s relations with Canada nosedived today when prime minister Justin Trudeau accused New Delhi of involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia’s Surrey in June and also expelled a senior Indian diplomat.
Consumer electronics brand boAt, owned by entrepreneur and ‘Shark Tank India’ fame Aman Gupta, came forward with a statement on X, announcing the termination of their sponsorship with Shubh for the artist’s ‘Still Rollin India Tour’, which was scheduled to take place this year starting in September. The concert was set to take place aboard a cruise ship in Mumbai from Sept 23 to 25, under a cruise festival.
BoAt terminated the sponsorship after the artist’s story on IG went viral in March this year, which included a distorted image of India’s map with the caption ‘Pray for Punjab’.
The artist’s three-month-long ‘Still Rollin India Tour’ in India will also see him perform across 12 cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, and Jaipur.
Virat Kohli also unfollowed his “favourite” artist
In another major loss for the artist, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, who considered him his “favourite”, has unfollowed him on IG in light of Shubh’s ‘distorted map’ saga.
Earlier, Virat Kohli was all praise for the Canadian artist and shared a comment calling him his “favourite artist right now”.

The cricketer was also seen dancing to the artist’s song ‘Elevated’ with his spouse and actor Anushka Sharma in a reel shared on Instagram before this controversy.
BJP Youth Wing displayed their opposition to Shubh’s concert
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), came forward amidst the singer’s alleged anti-India controversy and brought down several promotional posters of his event in Mumbai.
The members of the Morcha pledged to “display opposition if no proper action is taken over the artist’s post”.
