Who are the three Indian-origin women honoured by Indian Consulate in US?
Three prominent Indian-origin women in the US were honoured by the Consulate General of India and the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) on International Women's Day for their outstanding contributions across various fields.
The honorees include –
Anu Aiyengar, Global Head of Advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions at JP Morgan
Aiyengar serves on the Board of Trustees of Smith College and is on the Board of Youth INC, Dress for Success, and Red Cross. She is also a founding member of the Smith Business Advisory Council. She was named to Barron’s ‘100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance’ list and recognized by American Banker as one of the ‘Most Powerful Women in Finance’, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Anjula Acharia, CEO and Founder of A-Series Management and Investments
Acharia is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, pop culture enthusiast, angel investor/advisor and was recently named on Billboard’s ‘International Power Players’ List. Acharia, who is friends with Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, is said to have played a role in launching her career in the US, managing her to this day, as per her LinkedIn profile.
Seema Mody, Reporter and Anchor at CNBC
Mody is a technology and global markets correspondent for CNBC, focusing on the intersection of foreign policy, Silicon Valley and Wall Street.
The chief guest at the event was Annapurna Devi, Union Minister of Women and Child Development. The event honoured four exceptional women for their remarkable contributions across diverse fields, reinforcing a steadfast commitment to women's empowerment and recognition.
