Vadodara man threatens wife in US through social media
A father of a woman living in the US filed a police complaint against his son-in-law, accusing him of harassing his daughter.
According to the complaint, the woman hailing Vadodara’s Chhani married to a man against her father’s will. After the marriage, she was allegedly subjected to physical and emotional abuse by her husband.
To escape the harassment, the woman filed for divorce and moved to the US for further studies.
The woman, however, mailed his father from the US that her husband continued to harass her through social media and other means and even threatened to kill her.
According to the complaint, the woman sent $6,000, branded shoes and an iPhone from the US to her husband to get rid of his torture.
The father has provided screenshots of the abusive messages sent by the son-in-law and his associates via 180-200 fake accounts on social media.
He has also accused the son-in-law of demanding money to file a court case from his daughter and forcing her to convert to Christianity.
The Chhani police have registered a case against one Samuel Parmar in the matter.
