UK hikes fees for tourist, work, student visas
UK visa fee hikes

The UK government has announced an increase in immigration and nationality fees, with the revised charges coming into effect from April 8, according to an official policy paper by the UK government.

The fee for a short-term visit visa (up to six months) has been raised from £127 to £135, while long-term visit visas have also become costlier across all categories.

Work visas, including Skilled Worker applications, have seen hikes depending on duration, with fees for applications of up to three years increasing to £819 and those exceeding three years rising to £1,618.

Student visa fees have also gone up, with applicants now required to pay £558, compared to the earlier £524.

The cost of British citizenship naturalisation has been increased to £1,709, while several sponsorship licence fees for employers have also been revised upward.

However, certain premium services and categories, including priority visa services and some sponsorship-related charges, remain unchanged.

The revised fee structure impacts applicants both outside and within the UK, covering visas, work permits, study routes, and nationality applications.
