Two Indian-origin leaders among top 10 highest-paid S&P 500 CEOs

Two Indian-origin Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) are listed in the top 10 of the world’s highest-paid CEOs of S&P 500 Companies.

As per the survey, Nikesh Arora of Palo Alto Networks Inc has been listed in the top 10 of the list with an income of $151,425,203 i.e. ₹12,73,05,13,668 (1,273.05 crore).

Another Indian-origin CEO in the top 10 include Satya Nadella of Microsoft Corp with an income of $48,512,537 i.e. ₹4,07,85,12,051 (₹407.85 crore)

Other Indian-origin CEOs on the list are Ravi Kumar of Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp and Shantanu Narayen of Adobe Inc.

Over the past decade, CEO pay at S&P 500 companies has surged by over $4 million, with the average CEO earning $17.7 million in 2023.

In contrast, the typical US worker saw a much smaller wage increase of $18,240 during the same period, bringing the average annual salary to $65,470 in 2023.
