A 45-year-old YouTuber of Punjabi origin was reportedly stabbed to death in Ontario on Tuesday night, police said. The victim has been identified as Nancy Grewal.

According to the LaSalle Police Service Facebook post, officers and paramedics responded to reports of a stabbing shortly before 9:30 pm local time in the 2400 block of Todd Lane in LaSalle.

First responders arrived at the scene and found Grewal suffering from multiple stab wounds. Personnel from the Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services transported her to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries, police said.

As per reports, Grewal, who lived in Windsor, was known on social media for speaking out against pro-Khalistan elements. She had posted several videos criticising them and had also openly spoken against jailed MP Amritpal Singh, politician Bikram Singh Majithia, and religious leader Gurinder Singh Dhillon.

She had also condemned Khalistani extremists and commented on tensions between India and Canada. In June last year, Grewal had raised concerns following the death of social media influencer Kanchan Kumari, popularly known as Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, in Bathinda.

On Wednesday morning, authorities reportedly cordoned off two homes on Todd Lane between Canada Street and Bishop Street as part of the investigation. Officers were seen collecting several pieces of evidence along a concrete pathway and the stairs leading to the front door of one of the houses.

“The LaSalle Police Service continues to investigate a homicide that occurred on Todd Lane just before 9:30 pm on March 3, 2026. The victim is Nancy Grewal, 45, of Windsor. The LaSalle Police Service offers our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ms Grewal,” the police department said in a statement posted on Facebook.

Police added that investigators currently believe the incident to be isolated and said there was no immediate threat to the wider community.

Authorities reportedly have urged anyone with information to contact Detective Sergeant Jamie Nestor of the LaSalle Police Service. Residents in the area have also been asked to share any available surveillance footage that could assist the investigation.
