The woman, a resident of Makarba, had previously been married twice, with both marriages ending in divorce. She came in contact with the Makarba-based man through Shaadi.com in 2023, and the two married in August 2024.
According to her complaint, the woman became suspicious about 15 days after the marriage as her husband remained constantly busy on his phone. She checked his mobile and allegedly found the names and objectionable chats of more than a dozen women from Ahmedabad, Goa and the US.
When she questioned him about the chats, the husband allegedly abused and assaulted her.

The woman also alleged that her husband took her to Goa and Bali. During the Goa trip, he allegedly lost money while gambling at a hotel and misbehaved with her.
The situation worsened when another woman known to the husband allegedly told the complainant that she was his wife. During the ensuing argument, the husband allegedly became aggressive, pulled the woman’s hand and injured her wrist.
Husband, Son And Daughter Booked Over Dowry Allegations
The complainant further alleged that her father sold a shop in 2025 and that her husband and his son and daughter from an earlier marriage came to know that she had access to the money.
She alleged that the three pressured her to give the money to her husband as dowry, telling her that she would be able to live peacefully in the house only if she did so. She also alleged that her jewellery, which she had brought as streedhan, was kept in a bank locker by the family and was not returned to her.
After allegedly facing continued threats and harassment, the woman approached the West Women Police Station in Ahmedabad and lodged a complaint against her husband, his son and daughter.
