A special meeting was organised by Indian-American citizens with officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the police department, and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to discuss anti-India activities being carried out by Khalistani elements.

Indian-origin individuals expressed dissatisfaction at the meeting with the activities being carried out against India by Khalistanis residing on US soil. The meeting was organised by Indian-American community leader Ajai Jain Bhutoria. More than two dozen citizens attended the meeting.

Attacks on temples in foreign land

During the meeting, Indian-American citizens expressed concern that attacks on temples had increased in America, leading to a fearful atmosphere among people.

They highlighted efforts by Khalistanis to intimidate them by parking trucks outside their businesses and the schools their children attend.

No-action from FBI

Indian-American citizens expressed frustration that, despite such activities, no action has been taken by the FBI or the police. Even attempts to set fire to the Indian consulate in San Francisco have not led to any arrests by the police.

According to Bhutoria, the organiser of the meeting, officials from the police and FBI surprisingly argued that they had no knowledge of the Khalistan movement and that it was difficult to take action due to a lack of resources and funds.

Leaders of the Sikh community present in the meeting expressed concern that Khalistani terrorist organisations, aligned with Sikh For Justice (SFJ), are targeting temples, schools, and businesses.

Indian-origin attendees also expressed concern that there has been no assistance provided to alleviate the anxiety among Indian communities and to combat the ongoing anti-India activities in America.

Khalistani supporters openly threaten to hijack Indian planes and openly threaten Hindus, as evidenced by banners announcing such threats.

This meeting yielded a response and action from the DOJ, as they assured the people that a working group would be formed to ensure the security of religious places, with Indian community members being included in it.
