Mehsana-native father and daughter were murdered in Virginia, USA on Thursday, by a man in a convenience store where the victims worked.

The incident took place in Accomack County, Virginia, USA. The deceased – 56-year-old Pradip Patel and 24-year-old Urvi Patel – are members of the Patel family originally from Kanoda village, Mehsana.

According to reports, the incident was reported around 5.30 am local time, when a man entered the convenience store located on the Lankford Highway, as per reports. 

While Pradip died on the spot from his injuries, Urvi was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The motive behind the murder is still unknown. The local police have arrested the accused and a probe has been launched.
