Ayush Sharma, an Indian-origin founder of a New York-based company, tied the knot at a 500-year-old cathedral in a 2,700-year-old town in Spain this weekend.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) alumni married his love interest from the same university, Gabriella, whom he met eight years ago.

The wedding photos uploaded by him garnered one million views, and over 15,000 likes, with netizens pouring love in the comment section.

He wrote, “Response to this has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite the ongoing race wars, good day to remember that love is real and when you meet the right person, nothing else matters.”

“Gabriella and I met 8 years ago at MIT, and have been together ever since. We recently formalised what we’ve always known - that we’re going to spend our lifetime together,” he added.

He wrote, “When we met, I was 20 and she was 18. We were nothing but two broke students back in Cambridge. Since then, we’ve grown together, fought many fights, and yet have always loved each other to no end".

He informed them that they did an Indian/Hindu ceremony the night before the cathedral wedding. “The Spanish church was very accommodating - I, of course, didn’t have to convert to Catholicism or anything. It was actually my decision that we get married in Spain, because I really adore European/Gothic cathedral architecture. The entire town of Segovia pretty much gathered to witness the attraction of the day. A massive wedding ceremony and a party! It was incredible and all our family members couldn’t be happier,” he wrote.

Netizens showered blessings and best wishes

A user commented, “The photos are so good! They almost look like AI made them".

Another wrote, “winning at life”. One user also commented, “Love triumphs over everything, congratulations to both of you”.
