Indo-Canadian gangster arrested in US for operating global drug cartel

The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has arrested an Indo-Canadian gangster for running a transnational drug operation along with a notorious Irish gang, according to local media.
Opinder Singh Sian, the gangster, worked with the Irish Kinahan gang to smuggle methamphetamine and fentanyl precursors at an international level, Global News reported on Tuesday.
A US court document revealed that Sian was “at the centre of a vast conspiracy to import precursor chemicals from China and export narcotics through the port of Los Angeles to Australia,” as per the local media.
As per reports, Sian was arrested in Nevada last month by the DEA.
According to the report, court documents reveal that Sian—who had backing from Turkish and American criminal organisations—was part of a conspiracy to import precursor chemicals from China and traffic narcotics through the Port of Los Angeles to Australia.
The report further states that Sian, associated with the Brothers Keepers gang in Surrey, British Columbia, was arrested in Arizona, and the affidavit was filed in California.
